UBox

UBox is an online cloud storage and collaboration tool that provides users with the ability to easily store, access, and share files and folders on any device.

Free, secure University of Utah Box accounts are available only to current students, staff, faculty, and some affiliates. UBox accounts expire after the user’s affiliation with the university ends. More information is available in the UIT Knowledge Base (login required).

Logging in to UBox

UBox accounts are provisioned upon your first login. To access your UBox account:

Navigate to the UBox login page

Select the “LOG IN TO UBOX” button below.

Log in to UBox

Authenticate your account

Enter your uNID and university password on the login screen. You may be prompted to authenticate with Duo 2FA.

IT security

The Information Security Office has approved the use of the UBox for storage of HIPAA and FERPA data, in accordance with relevant privacy laws and subject to appropriate usage as outlined in the university’s Box Acceptable Use Policy (PDF).
